It is with great pleasure that the Board announces the successful application and board vote of Matthew Sweigart to fill the open term of Director of Education. Matthew will serve on the board until the position is up for election in spring of 2011. Matthew has contributed much to the AOBTA over the years, and is looking forward to working at the national level.
We thank Michael DeAgro for his years of service to the AOBTA. Michael was a calm guiding hand who helped the organization in many ways. We look forward to working with Matthew and the change he will bring to the board of directors.
In Matthews Letter of Intention for the position he writes: "Ultimately, it is the strength of our educational standards, and our deep commitment to Asian Bodywork Therapy, that bring us together as a professional association, and I would intend to contribute to maintaining and strengthening those standards and opportunities for the membership and for the world at large."| Comments |
