Program Description: A New 150-Hour Five-Element Shiatsu Program beginning in January 2017 The 150-Hour Five-Element Shiatsu Program prepares you to become proficient in Shiatsu at the A.O.B.T.A. (American Organization for Bodywork Therapies of Asia) associative level. 500-Hour Five-Element Shiatsu Program Karunas 500-Hour Shiatsu Program prepares students to earn the credentials needed for a legal professional practice. Practitioners of Asian Bodywork in Massachusetts must complete a minimum of 500 hours of training for professional practice. Certified practitioner status with AOBTA is the appropriate credential for the practice of Asian Bodywork in Massachusetts, as specified by the state statute.
Program Description: Shiatsu School of Vermont offers two 500-hour Shiatsu Practitioner Certification Programs. The 6-Month Accelerated Program offers total immersion in the study of Zen Shiatsu. Scheduled June 6-November 28, 2017, this program meets three weekdays per week. The Shiatsu Practitioner Weekend Program meets one weekend per month for 25 months beginning in September each year. Like the Accelerated Program, this program prepares students with the skills, presence and understanding required to effectively practice Zen Shiatsu. Each program includes 400 hours of training on-site, while 100 hours of Western Body, Eastern Mind: Integrated Anatomy & Physiology are administered online. Students of both programs are awarded Certified Practitioner status (AOBTA-CP) upon graduation.
