Welcome to AOBTA


Dear Future AOBTA Member,

Thank you for your interest in the American Organization for Bodywork Therapies of Asia (AOBTA®).  We extend a warm welcome as we offer you a variety of professional and non-professional membership options.  

AOBTA is the nation's largest Asian Bodywork Therapy association.  We are a not-for-profit (501c-6) professional membership organization supported by membership dues, contributions, and the time and talent of our volunteer members.

Founded in 1989, AOBTA has grown rapidly and now serves over one thousand members who practice a variety of the Asian Bodywork Therapy (ABT) Forms.  With members in all 50 states and a few international members, we are able to increasingly promote our profession to the public.  

AOBTA is governed by membership-elected volunteers that serve on the Board of Directors.  Our Organizational structure includes the Council of Schools and Programs (COSP), State Chapters, and the Congress of Representatives.  There are ample opportunities for membership participation and service to the community.

AOBTA currently serves its members in a wide variety of ways and is always striving to add value and relevance to the membership experience.  A few of the benefits our organization offers members are:
