Volunteer Opportunities | Supporting the Profession
Support the profession that supports you!

The stability and vitality of any profession is dependent on the willingness of its professional community to support, connect with, and participate in the profession's membership association!

AOBTA® supports the profession you love by protecting your right to legally practice, by defending the ABT scope of practice from being assumed by other professions, by setting and maintaining high standards, and by establishing policies and processes to ensure the public that AOBTA® professional members are highly trained.

We plan for the future of the profession by engaging in strategic planning; offering centralized, regional, and local leadership; gathering and disseminating news; providing a structure that enables networking, support, sharing of tools and information, and a platform for addressing concerns and goals.

The Asian Bodywork Therapy profession exists because of AOBTA®

... and AOBTA® exists solely as a community of professionals that care about their profession. We are a not-for-profit membership association governed by the members, responsive to the members, serving the members.

Your membership supports, protects, and promotes your profession.

Aside from joining and maintaining your membership, you can also support your profession by volunteering! Leadership positions, committee and task force involvement, group participation, writing articles, sharing your "favorites", completing a survey, submitting an idea, providing feedback, and being mindful of the activity and news relevant to your profession.

AOBTA® is a community of special individuals engaged in creating positive change in the world. We invite you to join us in that effort!
